A Sunday School Visit to Lutherlyn:
What a beautiful day it was, as some of the children got to experience a little bit of Lutherlyn camp, for the first time. We shared a nice picnic lunch and toured the grounds, and were able to be close to God's creation and all its' beauty. We hope to have many families attend camp at this amazing place!

Parents Night Out in October...kids from the community join us as we play games, make crafts like water rockets, and even tumble in the indoor inflatable. This is open to anyone who needs an evening out, while your kids join us to have some fun!

Rally Day 2008, "Caring for God's Creation"... many friends and members joined us as we kicked off our Sunday School program for 2008, which continues to grow each day (answering our prayers!). We celebrated God's creation by planting a new tree in the front yard, and the kids got to spend some time with one of God's living creatures... a duck! If you missed Rally Day, but are interested in checking out our Sunday School program, stop by any time! Our doors are open to you! Check out our Ascension's Children tab for more details!

Christmas 2007...many thanks to everyone who helped with this year's Children's Christmas program and luncheon. It was such an amazing day of fun and fellowship for everyone!

Over 20 members and friends of Ascension went Christmas Caroling to the neighbors!

Washington Wild Things Game Night... there were about 30 of us who braved the weather, and the night ended up being beautiful!

Food Donation from our Sunday School class... the children delivered the food we collected through lent to the food pantry located in McKees Rocks. They got to see first hand where people less fortunate are able to go once a month to get food. Flo, the woman who started this food pantry 22 years ago, was on hand to explain the process to them, and how important their donations are.

Social Hall renovations, underway... THANK YOU to ALL of the volunteers who have been helping along the way. What a difference. We couldn't have done it without each of you!

Valentine's Dinner, February 17th, 2007
Our wonderful caterors, Roseann and Linda, did an outstanding job!! Look, Kurt is first in line!
Come see our new doors, installed just in time for us to enjoy over the Christmas holiday season. They are all handcrafted... a lost art these days!

Rally Day 2006, What fun!
Time to go bobbing for Apples... because we are the Apple of God's eye!
